Psychology of Aging

I am working as a part of the Psychology of Aging research group in the Department of General Psychology (University of Padova). Within the research group, I’m carrying out research projects which aim to assess: i) age-related differences in cognitive mechanisms (e.g. working memory, executive functioning, attentional resources) that are related to complex cognitive processes, with particular regards to visuo-spatial and navigational abilities (e.g. route learning), ii) cognitive intervention effectiveness (e.g. working memory training, strategic memory training, route learning training) to provide short-term and long-term benefits in order to compensate, limit and slow down older adults’ cognitive age-related decline.
